Where it all Began

Our Story

Hi, I’m Tyler! I’m a pediatric occupational therapist, father of 2, and founder of Our Planet Collective.

This all started in Hawaiʻi, where I offered in-person therapy and nature-based events for families. I worked with kids on farms, in gardens, and along the shoreline — and witnessed how powerful nature can be for their regulation, development, and overall joy. But I also saw how healing it was for us — the grown-ups — and how just a few minutes outdoors could reconnect an entire family.

Why This Work Matters

Since those early days, my wife and I have lived all over the country and traveled around the world. We’ve made it a priority to raise our children with a sense of adventure, connection, and curiosity — not just about other cultures, but about the planet itself.

Nature has been one of the most grounding and healing forces in my own life. It’s helped me regulate my nervous system, slow down, and come back to what truly matters. And through all of our travels, I’ve also seen the other side of the story — just how deeply disconnected many communities have become from the natural world, and how much of our planet is suffering because of it.

That’s why this work is about more than play. It’s about stewardship. I believe that when we help children fall in love with the Earth from the beginning, we raise a generation that’s more likely to protect it. The more time they spend outside — barefoot, curious, free — the more they understand that they belong to something bigger.

What We Believe

Our Planet Collective is here to help families build simple, nature-based routines that support:

    •    Sensory development and regulation

    •    Parent-child connection

    •    A lifelong relationship with the Earth

    •    A slower, more intentional way of living

This isn’t a perfect-parenting space. It’s a place for dirt-covered hands, deep breaths, and wild hearts.

Let’s get back to Earth together!
